PHRYGIA. Trajanopolis. Hadrian, 117-138. 1/3 Assarion (Bronze, 15 mm, 1.91 g, 12 h). ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ Laureate bust of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ Athena standing front, head to right, placing her left hand on shield set on ground and holding spear in her right. BMC 24. RPC III 2471.15 (this coin). Von Aulock, Phrygien II, 1465-78. Slightly rough and with light cleaning scratches on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
